Jerry and Pat Strong, Medicine Lodge, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tara Strong, to T.J. Staab, son of Jerry and Bonnie Staab, Plainville.

Grandparents are Ann Bryan and Dorothy Strong, both of Medicine Lodge, the late Gene Bryan, the late Ernie Strong, Iola Harrison-Ruder, Hays, the late Keith Harrison, Betty Staab, Plainville, and the late Jerry Staab Sr.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Medicine Lodge High School, and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor of science degree in speech language pathology and elementary education. She is working on her master's degree in speech language pathology.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Plainville High School and Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in sociology. He is an account manager for Staabco Chemical Inc., Plainville.

A Nov. 15, 2008, wedding is planned at United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge.
