Larry and Jolene Tasset, Spearville, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Dana Marie Tasset, to Mark Wesley Howerton, son of Jack and Lela Jean Howerton, Lyons.

Grandparents of the couple are Geraldine Habiger, Kinsley, the late Joseph Habiger, the late Clarence and Margaret Tasset, Lenora Miller, Great Bend, the late Edward Miller, and the late John and Annie Howerton.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Spearville High School and Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in nursing for nurse practitioner.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Lyons High School and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in agronomy.

An Aug. 8, 2009, wedding is planned at St. John's Catholic Church, Spearville.
