Joseph and Darlene Torrez, Albert, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kelsey Torrez, to Sean Kelly, son of Patrick Kelly II, Independence, Mo., and Joyce Kelly, Olathe.

Grandparents of the couple are Bill Besperat, Timken, Lucy Torrez, Great Bend, the late Louise Besperat, and the late Jesus Torrez.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of La Crosse High School, a 2007 graduate from Highland Community College with an associate's degree and is pursing a bachelor's degree in leadership studies at Fort Hays State University. She is employed at Stuart Chiropractic as a chiropractic assistant.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Olathe Northwest High School and attended FHSU. He is employed at Kansas Department of Transportation as an engineer technician.

A March 9, 2013, wedding is planned at First United Methodist Church, Hays.
