Ken and Amelia Werner, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tiffany Werner, to Cade Scott, son of Patrick and Gia Scott, Victoria.

Grandparents are Richard and Judy Werner, Plainville, Ralph Stalcup, Great Bend, the late Rosella Werner, the late Pollie Stalcup, the late Ralph and Rosie (Flax) Berens, and the late Robert and Mary Lee Scott.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and a 2011 graduate of North Central Kansas Technical College with a registered nurse's degree. She is employed at Graystone Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Hays Medical Center.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of Victoria High School and a 2012 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a degree in elementary education. He is working at Hays Rec Fitness Center, is a sixth grade teacher at Ness City Elementary School and head middle school basketball coach.

A Sept. 8, 2012, wedding is planned at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.
