Osborne student crowned king

WINFIELD -- Lindsey Knak, Fairview, Okla., and Nathan Morrison, Osborne, were crowned as homecoming king and queen at Southwestern College on Oct. 17.
Morrison is a senior athletic training major. He is the son of the late Mark and Deb Morrison. During his years at Southwestern, he has been a member of several organizations including: SCATS, Discipleship, a cappella choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and chapel team. He also competed in track and field for two years, throwing discus and hammer and earned all-conference honors the second year. Morrison hopes to become a certified athletic trainer at a small college or university.
Knak is the daughter of Roger and Linda Knak. She is a senior majoring in athletic training. She was a member of the Southwestern cheer squad, the Jinx Dance Team, student foundation, Kansas Athletic Trainer's Associate, National Athletic Trainer's Associate, Southwestern College Athletic Training Society, an orientation leader, and a resident assistant in Cole Hall. She works for the Winfield Recreation Commission at the campus pool and works with toddlers at Kids Day In at the First United Methodist Church. Knak hopes to become an athletic trainer in a high school in Kansas or Oklahoma.
Southwestern College students voted during the week on the homecoming court.
Southwestern College is a private institution granting undergraduate and graduate degrees and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. More than 1,900 students attend classes at the main Winfield campus, at five professional studies sites in Kansas and Oklahoma, or online around the world.
