WICHITA -- Two area students have begun hands-on, clinical training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. This portion of training makes up the third and fourth years of medical school and is required before receiving a medical degree.

Tanner McNinch, Arnold, and Aaron Pfeifer, Hays, completed the first two years of medical school at the KU School of Medicine campus in Kansas City. They join 57 other medical students who also began their training in Kansas City as well as eight medical students who made up the original class of first-year students on the Wichita campus after its expansion in 2011.
