TOPEKA — The Fort Hays State University women’s soccer team is off to a 2-0 start after a 2-0 victory Saturday against Upper Iowa.

FHSU got on the board in the second half when Catalina Hernandez scored unassisted, her second in two matches.

Eden Stoddard netted the Tigers’ second goal, pushing her total to three through two games. She scored on the assist from Darby Hirsch.

Kristen Thompson had three saves for FHSU against three shots on goal for her second win.

FHSU had 12 shots with the Peacocks collecting six.

The Tigers are on the road in Minot, S.D., this week to face Augustana and Minot State.
