NORTH CANTON, Ohio — After opening the tournament with a win Thursday, the Fort Hays State University volleyball team ended up 2-3 in the Cavalier Classic during the weekend.

The Tigers dropped a pair of four-set matches Friday, losing 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-16 to Seton Hill (Pa.), then dropping a 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 match to Walsh University (Ohio).

Then Saturday, the Tigers lost in three sets — 25-22, 25-17, 25-22 — to University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. FHSU closed the tournament with a five-set victory against West Liberty University, winning 25-9, 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.

FHSU sits 4-5 after the tourney, and will be in action Thursday against East Central in Ada, Okla.

Then the Tigers head to Bethan, Okla. for four matches Friday and Saturday in the MIAA-GAC Crossover Tournament.
