The Fort Hays State University football team, after a blowout home win against University of Central Missouri, jumped into the AFCA NCAA Division II football poll.

The Tigers, now 2-0, defeated the No. 13 Mules 35-6, and jumped to No. 21 in the poll, released Monday.

The Tigers are on the road this week to face University of Central Oklahoma, which is coming off a 31-28 loss at Pittsburg State during the weekend.

MIAA member Northwest Missouri State University remained atop the poll. Central Missouri dropped out of the poll, while Emporia State jumped from 15th to 14th after a blowout home win.
