TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Fort Hays State University women’s golf team was 12th in the NSU Women’s Classic, played Monday and Tuesday at Cherokee Springs.

The Tigers shot rounds of 330 and 332 on the Par-72 course.

Hannah Perkins led the Tigers in a tie for 37th place. Perkins fired rounds of 82 and 79 to finish 17-over 161 for the tourney.

Madison Roether finished 82-84 in a tie for 53rd. Taylor DeBoer tied for 60th place with rounds of 85 and 84, while Kelsey McCarthy was 69th at 88-85 and Katie Brungardt shot 81-94.

Southwest Oklahoma State won the tournament, breaking a three-way tie in a five-hold sudden death over Henderson State and Missouri Western.

Missouri Westerns’ Shi Qing Ong shot 1-under to win the tourney, individually.
