KEARNEY, Neb. — The Fort Hays State University women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to rival University of Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday.
UNK handed the Tigers their first loss of the season with a 1-0 victory courtesy of a golden goal in overtime. FHSU dropped to 2-1-2.
The Tigers were held scoreless for the sixth straight half. That gave UNK’s Megan Cook an opportunity in the 98th minute, and she delivered for the Lopers.
Megan Kneefel finished with three saves in goal for FHSU.
The Tigers will be at Emporia State at 2 p.m. Sunday.
