The Fort Hays State University men’s soccer team picked up its first win of the season — in a big way.

The Tigers poured on the offense in a 7-0 victory against Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University on Friday at the FHSU soccer stadium.

Raul Fierro recorded his first career hat trick with three goals on six shots, including four on frame.

FHSU finished with 33 shots.

Aboulaye Cisse started the scoring for FHSU on the assist from Brian Ness in the ninth minute.

Fierro then scored in the 15th minute to put FHSU up 2-0, the score at intermission.

FHSU then scored its next three goals in the first five minutes following intermission.

FHSU only surrendered one shot to the Bearcats. Michael Yantz picked up the victory to move to 1-3-2 for the year.

FHSU is back in action Sunday against Northeastern State in an 11 a.m. kick at the FHSU soccer stadium.
