The Fort Hays State University volleyball team dropped its second straight in MIAA play Saturday night, falling in three sets to No. 25 ranked Washburn University at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

FHSU fell 28-26, 25-17, 25-16 to fall o 8-8 overall and 0-2 in MIAA play.

Washburn moved to 10-4 overall and 1-1 in MIAA.

Sydney Dixon and Callie Christensen each had eight kills to lead the way for FHSU, while Tatum Bartels had a good day in the middle. She collected seven kills and two blocks. Christensen had four blocks to lead the way, while Amirah Bentley put up 31 assists.

The Tigers are at home against Tuesday to take on No. 5 ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney at GMC. Match time is 6 p.m.
