VALLEY CENTER — Falling down 14-0 in the second quarter, the Hays High School football team couldn’t complete the rally, falling 24-7 to unbeaten Valley Center on Friday night.

The loss dropped Hays High to 2-3 as they return to WAC action next week at Dodge City.

The Indians’ lone score Friday came late in the fist half when Hunter Brown connected with Hayden Brown from 5 yards to make it 14-7 just before intermission.

Valley Center (5-0) added a field goal and a long touchdown pass to seal the win.
