LARNED — Playing just four sets Thursday, the Hays High School volleyball team picked up a pair of wins to push its season record to 21-6.

The Indians defeated host Larned, 25-15, 25-17, then defeated La Crosse, 25-18, 25-19.

Against Larned, HHS got eight kills from Tasiah Nunnery with 14 assists from Hannah McGuire. Brooklyn Schaffer and Savannah Schneider each recorded nine digs.

Then against La Crosse, Nunnery recorded 10 kills, McGuire 12 assists and Schaffer eight digs to lead the way. Jaycee Dale also had four solo blocks.

The Indians are back in action Oct. 14 at the WAC Tournament in Liberal.
