PHILLIPSBURG — Victoria senior Hannah Radke had no trouble advancing to the Class 3-2-1A state tournament after waltzing her way through the regional field Friday and Saturday in Phillipsburg.

Radke beat Osborne’s Savannah Noel 6-0, 6-0 to win the singles title. The top-six finishers qualified for the Class 3-2-1A state championships next weekend in Prairie Village.

Osborne’s Olivia Engler took third, beating Victoria’s Morgan Leiker, 6-4, 6-4.

Adrian Dietz of WaKeeney-Trego won 6-2, 6-1 over Phillipsburg’s Samantha Prewitt for fifth.

Radke was the No. 1 seed entering the regional, and Noel was seeded No. 2.

Victoria also got a strong showing in doubles action. Megan Karst and Brooklynn Kuhn teamed up to win the doubles title at the regional.

Karst and Kuhn won 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-4 against Phillipsburg’s Angel Pfannenstiel and Logan Solida.

Ellsworth’s Cassidy Kroboth and Tori Lamb took third over Greeley County’s Caela Ibarra and Abby Berggren, 7-6 (7-2), 6-1.

Ellsworth’s Jaycee Cunningham and Kassie Sheridan beat Victoria’s Chantel Whisman and Kiara Sweat, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 for fifth. Whisman and Sweat were seeded 18th entering the regional.

Victoria won the team title with 20 points, followed by Osborne (11) and Phillipsburg (10).
