FAYETTE, Iowa — The Fort Hays State University women’s basketball team doubled up Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday to move to 2-0.

The Tigers put five players in double figures en route to an 84-42 victory to finish the two-day swing with a 2-0 mark.

Taylor Rolfs led the way with 16 points, while Kacey Kennett had 15, Carly Heim 13, Whitney Clampitt 12 and Emma Stroyan 10. The Tigers shot 43 percent from the floor and were 8 of 10 from the free throw line, holding SW Minnesota to just 25 percent shooting. The Tigers recorded seven steals with six blocked shots.

Newcomer Gokce Aslan had five assists and eight rebounds, while Tatyana Legette had 10 boards to lead the way.

FHSU will play its home opener Friday against University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, a 7 p.m. start at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
