Snapping a three-match losing streak in the process, the Hays High School girls’ soccer team captured a 2-0 victory Thursday against Wichita-Trinity at the HHS field.

The Indians scored two first-half goals and completed the shutout to push their record to 9-6-1 ahead of next week’s Class 4-1A regional.

Savannah Schneider started the scoring for the Indians, finding the net in the eighth minute, then she found Kallie Leiker in the 36th minute to set the final margin.

Hays High will host a first-round regional game Monday.
