Fifty-three Dodge City Community College student-athletes from 14 different sports were given NJCAA All-Academic Student-Athlete Awards, as announced by the NJCAA on Tuesday.

In order to qualify for this award, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.60. In order to qualify for First Team, the student-athlete must have a perfect 4.0 GPA. For second team honors, the student-athlete must post a GPA between a 3.80 and 3.99. To receive third team honors, the individual must post a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79.

"I am very proud of these student-athletes," athletic director Jacob Ripple said. "They have done a great job of balancing the demands of athletics and academics for the year. One of my goals for our student-athletes every year is to perform at a high level in the classroom, obviously this group had met that goal and beyond."

Dodge City had 19 student-athletes post a perfect 4.0 GPA, and were named to the NJCAA All-Academic First Team. Those student-athletes include:
