The Hays Larks continued their winning ways Sunday night, capping off a three-game non-league sweep of the Oklahoma City Indians.

The Larks won 6-1 on Saturday and 12-5 on Saturday, pushing their record to 12-3 and have now won seven of their last eight games.

The Jayhawk League schedule resumes Wednesday as Hays travels to Dodge City for a 7 p.m. start.

In Saturday’s 6-1 win at Larks Park, Hays jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning before scoring three more in the fourth.

Easton Kirk drove in two runs on a triple, while the Larks managed seven hits. Clayton Rasbeary added a pair of RBI, whil John Rensel and Matt Munoz each drove in one.

Fabian Muniz pitched five no-hit innings for the victory, striking out six. Austin Thomason gave up the Indians’ lone run in the eighth, working 2.1 innings.

In Game 3 on Sunday, the Larks hot-hitting continued as Hays blasted out 12 hits, but did leave 11 runners on base.

Ryan Randle and Wyatt Divis each had three hits while Michael Anastasia and Kirk had two each. Kirk had a home run.

Carlos Tavera picked up the win for Hays in four innings. He gave up four earned runs on six hits with a walk and seven strikeouts. Three other Larks — Sloan Baker, Toby Scoles and Michael Wong — saw time on the mound.

Hays has just one home game this week, a 7 p.m. start Thursday at Larks Park. The Larks will be at Derby on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for games against the Twins.
