FHSU baseball drops two more to UNK

The Fort Hays State University baseball team continued its struggles with two more big losses, 10-2 and 17-4 to University of Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday at Larks Park. The Tigers lost 18-0 to UNK on Saturday.

In Game 1, Tyler Patty (0-2) went 5.1 innings and allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits and a walk.

The Lopers scored two runs in the second and third, single runs in the fourth and sixth and four in the seventh. FHSU had a run in the first and fourth.

In the second contest, the Lopers led 14-0 after three innings. FHSU starter Joe Mapes (0-3) worked just four outs in the losing effort.

UNK moved to 12-6, 6-5 MIAA, while the Tigers dropped to 3-11, 2-9 MIAA.
