The Fort Hays State University women's golf remained in eighth place at the MIAA championships after the second of three rounds Tuesday. The Tigers improved by 14 shots and shot a 378. Sami Hobson again led FHSU with rounds of 96 and 88.
The Tiger men fell back two spots to 10th. FHSU shot a 319, the highest second round score, after shooting 309 the first day.
Trey Herman has shot 76 and 74 to lead the Tigers, but will need to finish strongly to hold onto his lead in the MIAA Player of the Year points race. Herman is currently tied for 18th at six-over, but has built up a points lead in select tournaments throughout the year.
