Tigers compete in Alumni Run

VICTORIA --  The Fort Hays State University men's and women's cross country teams hosted the FHSU Alumni Run on Saturday morning at Sand Plum Nature Trail near Victoria.

VICTORIA --  The Fort Hays State University men's and women's cross country teams hosted the FHSU Alumni Run on Saturday morning at Sand Plum Nature Trail near Victoria.

FHSU senior Cory Keehn topped the men's field in the exhibition run, running the 5K in a little over 15.5 minutes. Isaac Williams was second, 11 seconds off Keehn's pace. Ryan Hopkins, Nathan Purdue and Troy Wineinger rounded out the top five.

Cameron Rieth was the top alum with Tiger coach Jason McCullough in second.

In the women's 4K, Micki Krzesinksi led the field, finishing in just over 14.5 minutes. Chelsea Jackson was second, and Ramsey McCarter, Hannah Robinson and Sydney Lower rounded out the top five.

Marie Schaller paced the alumni with Gentry Linscott second.

The Tiger teams open the season Friday at Colby Community College.
