HHS golf part of long day at Hutch

HUTCHINSON -- The Hays High School boys' golf team endured a long day Friday at the Hutchinson Invitational.

The Indians sat through two lightning delay and played in cold, windy and drizzling conditions and placed 14th out of 35 teams with a team score of 332.

Payton Ruder led the way with a 79, and Kaden Beilman finished with 81.

Cash Hobson carded an 84, and Ryan Unruh and Chase Lynd rounded out the varsity scoring with 88 each.

Nathan Romme and Lane Clark also competed, shooting 84 and 87, respectively, but didn't figure into the team scoring.

Shawnee Mission East won the meet with a 294.
