Hays residents appointed to state boards

TOPEKA -- Gov. Sam Brownback on Thursday announced today several appointments to state boards and commissions.
"I appreciate the willingness of these Kansans to give of their time, energy and talent," Brownback said. "With their help, we will make our great state even better."
The appointments includes northwest Kansans.
Stan Munsch, Hays, was appointed to the Kansas Respiratory Care Council, which conducts examinations and registrations of applicants in the field of respiratory therapy. He graduated with a degree in respiratory therapy from the Respiratory Therapy Institute in Miami, after serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Vietnam in 1968. He also received the Kansas Respiratory Care Professional of the Year in 1990.
Kris Munsch, Hays, was appointed to the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board, which regulates real estate appraiser's licenses, provides access to appraisers' education resources and informs appraisers of industry news. The operations manager for Lockhart Geophysical, he is a faculty member of Fort Hays State University in the construction management program and earned his bachelor's degree in technology studies and a master's degree in education administration from FHSU.
