Former Gorham mayor arrested in drug raid
GORHAM -- At approximately 9:15 a.m. Monday, the Russell County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant on a home, arresting one Gorham resident on drug allegations, according to a press release issued by the department.
Neil Unrein, 189 Chicago St., was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Unrein was Gorham mayor from April to October 2011. He was released after posting $50,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 8.
