Survey work under way in Gove County

GOVE -- A survey team from the Kansas Department of Transportation is surveying along Kansas Highway 23 in Gove County.
The survey work is taking place 3.5 miles north of Gove on K-23. Specifically, the survey will focus on the culvert located on the East Spring Creek.
The survey is necessary for the detailed design of the proposed improvement of the culvert at that location.
Survey activities will include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the survey corridor. When it becomes necessary for crew members to enter private property, they first will obtain permission from the landowner or tenant.
