Work will begin on 281, 18 in Russell County next week

Next week, a job to repave a section of U.S. Highway 281 and Kansas Highway 18 in Russell County will begin.
The job will begin at the at the west junction of K-18 and continue on U.S. 281 to the east junction of K-18.
The scope includes first milling 2.5 inches of existing pavement and then inlaying a 1.5-inch lift of asphalt.
Flaggers and a pilot car operation will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. Short delays are possible.
