TOPEKA -- Options: Domestic and Sexual Violence Services, Hays, has been awarded a $29,214 grant for its victims' service programs, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced Friday.
The grant will fund the organization's advocacy services to victims experiencing domestic, sexual or stalking violence in 18 northwest Kansas counties.
"Organizations throughout Kansas are key partners in providing essential services to crime victims," Schmidt said. "We are proud to support the valuable work of these organizations."
The grant was awarded from the Protection from Abuse Fund, which is financed by district court docket fees for civil procedures, marriage license fees, county court costs and municipal court assessments.
