Formal vote on burn ban will be Monday

Ellis County commissioners will vote at Monday's regular meeting on a resolution to ban burning countywide.

Although a vote was taken Monday night to impose a countywide burning ban, that decision will not take effect until a resolution is passed by the commission and then published in The Hays Daily News, according to County Administrator Greg Sund.
