Goodland council runoff narrows field

Seven candidates ran for three positions on the Goodland City Commission, requiring a runoff Tuesday to eliminate one candidate.

Incumbent Bill Finley led the group with 196 votes, followed by incumbent John Garcia, 182; Phillip Erickson, 177; Brian Linin, 167; incumbent Gary Farris, 159; and J.J. Howard, 105.

Low vote-getter was Dan Knitig with 78. He was eliminated from the April 2 ballot.
