Leadership Kansas class makes stop in Hays
Leadership Kansas class members will explore Hays on Wednesday through Friday.
During their stay, the 40 members of the 2012 Leadership Kansas class will visit Hays Medical Center for a workforce development panel, discuss the Hays water conservation program and participate in an in-depth discussion of rural health care challenges and the agriculture industry.
In addition, they will tour downtown Hays, Sternberg Museum of Natural History and Fort Hays State University.
Hays is the fifth of six communities to host the 2012 class. Other locations include Garden City, Wichita, Manhattan and Junction City, Kansas City and Topeka.
Established in 1979, Leadership Kansas educates Kansas leaders statewide.
Applications for next year's program, which starts in April, are available at www.leadershipkansas.org.
