Youth bring Nativity to life
12/10/2012
Bringing a new dimension to the Christmas story, local youth will present a living Nativity Saturday and Sunday.
A project of the Luth-terian youth program, a program combining sixth- through 12th-graders from Hays' First Presbyterian and Trinity Lutheran churches, the living Nativity is a new undertaking for the organization.
"We presented it to the youth, and they got really excited," said Megan Hopp, Luth-terian youth ministry leader. "They immediately knew what part they wanted to play."
The living Nativity will be performed from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 29th and Hall, and from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2703 Fort.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be sold both evenings, with proceeds going toward youth mission trips.
