Self-defense workshop will be Saturday
A free self-defense training workshop will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Fort Hays State University's Cunningham Hall, room 110.
Sponsored by FHSU's Women's Leadership Project, Defensive Tactics Club, Department of Health and Human Performance and the Panhellenic Council, the workshop is designed to give individuals a basic knowledge of self-defense tactics.
The workshop is open to men and women aged 12 and older, and is under the direction of Defensive Tactics Club adviser Kenton Russell. With 28 years of experience in mixed-martial arts training, Russell has trained many high-profile individuals, including Secret Service, FBI agents, SWAT team members and Navy Seals.
