FORT LARNED -- The staff at Fort Larned National Historic Site is offering a free photography workshop for young adults from 2 to 5 p.m. June 21.

Professional photographer and Fort Larned volunteer Tracy Williams will present "Showcasing Images and Your Creativity" with a PowerPoint and conversation at the fort, 6 miles west of Larned on K-156.

Then field work taking pictures in and around the fort's buildings and natural resources will follow along with information about two photo contests on the horizon.

Although the workshop is geared for young adults, young at heart can register, too. Each participant will choose their favorite photograph from the day to be enlarged and mounted for display July Fourth weekend.

This workshop is made possible by the Golden Belt Foundation and the Fort Larned Old Guard. Space is limited so reserve a place by calling (620) 285-6911. For more information ask for Ranger Ellen Jones.
