Inmate found dead in Kan. jail identified

GREAT BEND, Kan. (AP) -- Authorities in a central Kansas county have released the name of a man found dead in a jail cell last week.

KAKE-TV reports (http://bit.ly/ZBRzxk ) the Barton County Sheriff's Department identified the inmate Wednesday as 37-year-old Christopher Michael Grimsley, of Hoisington.

Grimsley was found dead in his one-person cell Friday night. He had been booked into the jail Nov. 15 on charges pending from a case in Hoisington.

The cause of death has still not been released. An autopsy was being conducted in Hays.
