Westwood teen dies in ATV accident in Miami County

PAOLA, Kan. (AP) -- A teen from the Kansas City suburb of Westwood has died in an all-terrain vehicle accident in a Miami County field.

The Kansas City Star (http://bit.ly/QEp3Ya ) reported that three other people were on the ATV when it rolled early Sunday.

The Miami County Sheriff's Office says the teen who died was 17. His name wasn't released.

The driver of the ATV was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two others aboard the vehicle weren't injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
