Wichita man pleads in shooting death

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- A 22-year-old Wichita man has pleaded guilty in the 2013 death of a former high school football player.

The Wichita Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1ftfeWY ) that Eric Jackson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the 2013 shooting death of 19-year-old Jordan Turner, a former football player at Wichita South High School.

Turner was shot to death in a field last March. His body was found about a month after he was shot.

Two co-defendants have been convicted of first-degree murder.

Jackson's sentencing is May 7.
