Tribal casino dropping list of banned gamblers

Eds: APNewsNow.

HORTON, Kan. (AP) -- A northeast Kansas casino is letting gamblers know it will no longer honor their requests to be banned from the facility.

Golden Eagle Casino near Horton sent letters out a few weeks ago to people who had voluntarily put themselves on a list of patrons who are banned. The casino says the list has become too long to manage.

General manager Steve Dole says the casino, owned by the Kickapoo Tribe, will offer problem gamblers alternatives for dealing with their addiction.
