Julie Ann Schmeidler and Tyler Alvin Ummel were married June 13, 2015, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Joseph Tatro and Father Zachary Pinaire officiating.

Parents of the couple are Michael and Cheryl Schmeidler, Hays, and Donald and Jacqueline Ummel, WaKeeney.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Honor attendants were Stephanie Schneider and Jennifer Carsey, both sisters of the bride. Attendants were Rheta Schmeidler, sister-in-law of the bride, Ericka Nieman, sister of the groom, and Andrea Braun, friend of the bride.

Best man was Casey Crossland, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Greg Nieman, brother-in-law of the groom, Clayton Schmeidler, brother of the bride, and Ben Schoenberger and Luke Rogers, both friends of the groom. Ushers were Daniel Carsey and Daniel Schneider, both brothers-in-law of the bride, and Kevin Schuster, cousin of the groom. Flower girl was Kayla Schmeidler, niece of the bride. Ringbearers were Colby Schmeidler and Pierce Carsey, both nephews of the bride.

The bride is s graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, Newman University and Wichita State University. She is an accountant for Koch Ag and Energy Solutions, Wichita.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Trego Community High School and Kansas State University. He is a civil engineer for TranSystems Corp., Wichita.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the newlyweds are at home in Wichita.
