The Hays High School boys’ soccer team remains winless after its second match of the season, falling to McPherson 6-2 on Thursday.
HHS freshman Tradgon McCrae opened the scoring with an unassisted goal and put the Indians ahead early.
The Bullpups controlled the match from that point on, though, pouring in four goals the rest of the half.
After Jose Arriola got McPherson on the board, Andric McGill completed a hat trick in the first half, giving the Bullpups a 4-1 lead late in the half.
Zachary Wagner brought the Indians back within two goals, scoring his first goal of the season late in the opening half.
Hays High had little success slowing McGill in the second half, as he added two more goals, bringing his total to five for the game, late in the second half.
McPherson outshot Hays High 11 to 4. Jose Guzman led the Indians with five saves.
