DODGE CITY – The 3i Show’s High School Ag Career Day is Oct. 8.

High School Ag Career Day is a long-standing tradition of the 3i Show, making its return this year with the new October show dates falling once again during the school year.

Dodge City Community College staff is working closely with 3i Show exhibitor partners to bring a full schedule of activities to high school ag students. Exhibitor partners currently include Ackerman Distributing, Blattner Feedlot Construction, BTI Ag Solutions, CrustBuster, Foley Equipment Co. and Western Plains Medical Complex.

High School Ag Career Day offers students an opportunity to learn about careers in agriculture. The schedule will allow students to select what sections they wish to participate in.

Sessions will include beef quality assurance, diesel safety, drone demonstrations, farm-accident first aid, GPS tractor demonstrations, livestock safety, the introduction of robotics and welding demonstrations.

Also, Garden City Community College will host a TRAC-7 mobile education unit that will focus on the food science industry.

Sessions will be on the hour, every hour, starting at 9 a.m., with the last session at 1 p.m.
