Drusilla F. Fox, 97, Bison, died Monday, June 20, 2016, at her home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Clinton, Mo., to Herman and Emma (Betz) Schmidt. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County, living briefly in Arizona and Kentucky. She was a 1937 graduate of Enterprise Academy.
She married Lynn W. Fox on Feb. 7, 1943, in Bison. He preceded her in death March 22, 1984.
She was a registered nurse prior to retirement.
She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse.
Survivors include two sons, Charles “Eddie” Fox and wife, Henrietta, Houston, and Donald Fox and wife, Jo Ann, Peck; two daughters, Carol Bales-Speer and husband, John, and Lois Fox-Felkel and husband, John, all of Bison; a grandson; seven granddaughters; eight step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 22 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will conduct a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse; burial will be at 9 a.m. Sunday in SDA Cemetery, Bison.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.
Memorials are suggested to Maranatha Christian School, Hays, or Hospice at Hays Medical Center in care of the funeral home.
