Alicia Marie (Wear) Zunich , 60, Fountain, Colo., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1956, in Stuttgart, Germany to Billie R. and Florence (Younger) Wear.
One of six children, she was the daughter of a career U.S. Army Veteran. As such, her childhood was enriched with memories that stretched across the U.S. It was that connection with the U.S. Army that led her to her husband, who served with the U.S. Army Special Forces. Her journey continued as she and her family were stationed in Germany, North Carolina and eventually in Colorado.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, mother, crocheting, knitting, making jewelry, many other crafts and decorating her house for every holiday of the year.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, of 27 years; a son, Allan Michael Zunich; a daughter, Annette Marie St. Peter; her mother; two brothers, William “Bruce” Wear and his daughters, Arilla Clark, Hays, and Anna Wear, Las Vegas, and Robert Wear and wife, Vera, Lewisville, Texas; three sisters, Gayleen and Rob Benedict, Springfield, Mo., Jodie and Wes Leiker and their daughter, Caitlin, Hays, and Shawnale Wear, California; and three grandchildren, Brandon St. Peter and Sarah and Anna Adamson. She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Lawrence (Bal) and Anna Younger; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of her life was Nov. 2 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary Fountain.
