Toys for Tots brings holiday cheer

These are just a few of the 170 bags of books and toys that were distributed as part of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation event. Organizers said that between 1,500 and 1,600 toys and books were collected thanks to the generosity of corporate sponsors, students at various area schools, businesses and non-profi�ts that served as collection points, and Big Creek Crossing, which provided free space for the toy distribution on Dec. 20 and 21. FDA approves first injectable drug to prevent HIV A new injectable treatment for HIV pre-exposure prevention, or PrEP, has been approved by the Federal Drug Administration. The drug, Apretude, is approved for at-risk adults and adolescents who weigh at least 77 pounds to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV.
