Mary Ann Mermis – age 80, of Hays, Kansas died Monday, December 27, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. She was born August 20, 1941 in Hays, Kansas to Jacob C. and Sophia (VonLintel) Stecklein. She married Vernon J.“Vernie” Mermis on May 14, 1960 at Munjor, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2006.
