Ellis High School announces Annual Snowball Dance royalty

Ellis High School has announced their 2022 Snowball Dance royalty preceding the Saturday night festivities. The dance is sponsored by the Kansas Association for Youth club and all candidates must be members of KAY. The dance was reorganized into a smaller event last year, due to COVID-19. Parents were able to put together a dance at The Strand to allow students to have that experience while navigating a global pandemic. The dance will begin at 8 and go until 11:30, including a dj, music and decorations courtesy of KAY. Candidates will be recognized between the varsity basketball games Friday evening. RIVERHAWKS SURPRISE FORT HAYS WOMEN

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Fort Hays State started slow and never recovered in a 67-58 loss at Northeastern State on Monday afternoon (Feb. 7). The No. 6/5 ranked Tigers moved to 19-3 overall and 13-3 in the MIAA, while the RiverHawks snapped a five-game losing streak and moved to 5-17 overall and 3-13 in the MIAA.
