The Fort Hays State baseball team held two close competitions in their three game conference series against the Emporia State Hornets this weekend. On Friday, the Tigers earned their second win of the year with solid pitching performances and timely hitting.
Improving their record to 10-12, the Fort Hays State Softball team swept Missouri S&T before splitting their doubleheader with Truman. Starting pitcher Savanah Egger gave the Tiger offense all the support they needed, shutting the Miners out in a complete game win.

WICHITA — The Kansas Turnpike Authority announces bids have been approved and contracts awarded on two upcoming Turnpike projects. Contract 7800 to remove an overhead KTA bridge at mile marker 55.507, and construct improvements on Main Street in Andover, KS, was awarded to Dondlinger & Sons Construction Co., Wichita, KS, for $370,069.90.
