Thomas More Prep-Marian will open up the 2022-23 football season this Friday with an away game against the Oakley Plainsmen for a second year in a row. Last year, the Monarchs took down Oakley in a 31-13 win.

We naturally go to it regarding matters related to forgiveness or kindness, but sometimes we forget that Scripture speaks into a far broader range of issues.

Dalton McCarty was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. For his eagle project, he relocated and restored a walking rosary path at St. Jude Catholic Church, his home parish. He was also recently awarded the Vigil Honor, the highest rank in scouting’s Order of the Arrow. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 173 in South Bend, Indiana. Dalton is the son of Trent and Christy McCarty, South Bend. He is the grandson of Maribeth and the late Wayne McCarty, Hays, and Ray and Judy Marcotte, Plainville.
