Friday night, the Hays High football team nabbed the Western Athletic Conference title in a 56-12 win over Liberal. Honoring their seniors in the best way possible, each player showed up to complete a victory that would mark history as the first ever third consecutive conference title. “You play to win. You know, you play for a lot of different reasons but the ultimate goal is to win,” Head Coach Tony Crough said. “We’ve got that flag that we bring out before every game and the goal of the senior class is to add to that flag- we only put championships on that flag and that’s another one we can add.”
